SICOMIN TO CELEBRATE 40 YEARS AT JEC WORLD 2023 WITH LAUNCH OF TWO NEW GREENPOXY PRODUCTS

Sicomin will celebrate its 40^th anniversary by launching new innovations at JEC World 2023. The company will launch two new additions to its market leading, bio-based range of GreenPoxy resins at the show, which takes place in Paris, France, on 25-27 April 2023.

Developed primarily for processes such as hand and vacuum-consolidated lamination, the first new resin, GreenPoxy 170, is ideal for the manufacture of structural parts and for joining or re-laminating prepreg-based, infused and wet-laid parts. GreenPoxy 170 is a low-toxicity system that demonstrates impressive resistance to thermomechanical stress and 33% of its carbon content is sourced from sustainable bio-sources.

GreenPoxy InfuGreen 171, meanwhile, is a high-modulus, low-viscosity bio-resin designed for the manufacture of structural components using both infusion and resin-transfer moulding (RTM) processes. Possessing excellent mechanical performance, InfuGreen 171 takes 35% of its carbon content from sustainable bio-sources.

Sicomin will also display a full-size, flax fibre-reinforced composite hull at JEC World as part of the JEC planets display. The FLAX27 Daysailer has been developed by GREENBOATS for customers that are passionate about sustainability. The latest production version to be exhibited is made from 80% natural and/or recycled materials. Sicomin's GreenPoxy InfuGreen 810 resin was used to produce the crystal-clear flax laminates of the hull, providing a striking appearance which matches their outstanding mechanical properties.

Throughout the show, Sicomin will also host an informal drinks reception on its stand to toast its landmark 40^th anniversary.
