Sicomin and Modest Marketing to Showcase Innovative Fire-Rated Epoxy Solutions at MECAM Expo 2025

Sicomin will display a comprehensive range of products specifically designed for the architectural, marine, aerospace, and industrial sectors. A key highlight will be the innovative fire-rated SR 1121 and SR 1122 epoxy resin systems that are both tailored for modern architectural applications.

SR 1121 is a highly developed fire retardant solution that has been optimised to produce large composite structures. Developed to meet the growing demand for safer materials, SR 1121 stands out as a lower cost alternative to traditional fire systems without compromising on performance or quality.
SR 1121 is a user-friendly system with its halogen free formulation ensuring low smoke opacity and improved environmental safety. The system achieves ASTM E84 Class A certification.

Also to be showcased at MECAM, SR 1122 intumescent epoxy system is a premium fire-retardant solution designed for complex and high-tech architectural projects. Formulated for enhanced mechanical properties and a higher Tg, SR 1122 offers increased performance. Suitable for large-scale production using contact and vacuum laminating processes, the system features low viscosity and excellent wetting out properties for easy processing and high laminate quality. When combined with Sicomin intumescent epoxy gel coat SGi 128, SR 1122 achieves outstanding fire reaction results in accordance with ASTM E84 and EN 13501 standards.

Sicomin has developed a dedicated warehouse in Ajman, UAE and works with Modest Marketing to maintain a significant local inventory, providing a responsive and highly flexible supply chain for these key products. The resin systems have become a key enabler for landmark architectural projects in the GCC, having been used in the Dubai Museum of the Future and the Mataf extension of the Holy Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
