Product description:
PB 270 i system is a 2-component foaming epoxy resin. Once expanded, this fire-retardant foam has a density of around 270 kg/m3. Its fire resistance complies with the UL94 V0 standard.
This closed-cell foam has low water absorption and excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical insulation properties.
These properties make it a material of choice for a wide range of sectors, including industry, shipbuilding and aerospace.
Among the range of fire-resistant foaming resins, the foams are distinguished by their density. PB 270 i has the lowest density. For a given volume, it is therefore the lightest and easiest foam to machine.
The mixture develops in two stages: rapid expansion after casting, followed by slower hardening of the mass. Its coefficient of expansion at 20°C is 3.7.
