PB 370 i
Epoxy resin
PB 370 i
Product description:
PB 370 i system is a 2-component foaming epoxy resin. Once expanded, this fire-retardant foam has a density of around 370 kg/m³. Its fire resistance complies with the UL94 V0 standard.
This closed-cell foam has low water absorption and excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical insulation properties.
These properties make it a material of choice for a wide range of sectors, including industry, shipbuilding and aerospace.
Among the range of fire-resistant foaming resins, foams stand out for their density. PB 370 i falls somewhere in between. For a given volume, the denser the foam, the better its mechanical properties, but the heavier it is and the more difficult it is to machine.
The mixture develops in two stages, with rapid expansion after casting, followed by slower hardening of the mass. Its coefficient of expansion at 20°C is 2.7.
Properties:
Intumescent fire-resistant foam
Excellent adhesion to a wide range of supports
Excellent water resistance
Even distribution of density
Can be poured over prepregs and curing epoxy or polyester resins.
White foam that can be tinted with epoxy-compatible pigments.
