Product description:
PB 570 i system is a 2-component foaming epoxy resin. Once expanded, this fire-retardant foam has a density of around 570 kg/m³. Its fire resistance complies with the UL94 V0 standard.
This closed-cell foam has low water absorption and excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical insulation properties.
These properties make it a material of choice for a wide range of sectors, including industry, shipbuilding and aerospace.
Among the range of fire-resistant foaming resins, foams stand out for their density. PB 570 i has the highest density. For a given volume, this is the foam with the best mechanical properties, but also the heaviest and most difficult to machine.
The mixture develops in two stages: rapid expansion after casting, followed by slower hardening of the mass. Its coefficient of expansion at 20°C is 1.75.
