PB 400
Epoxy resin
PB 400
Product description:
PB 400 foaming epoxy is a two-component system with a density of 400 kg/m3 designed to foam volumes and hollow bodies to inert and strengthen them.
Its closed cell structure gives it excellent resistance to water absorption.
As it expands, the system exerts low pressure, enabling precarious formwork to be used.
A minimum temperature of 18°C is imperative to ensure good expansion (expansion coefficient of 4 from 20°C).
The choice of hardener depends on the processing temperature, the volume and thickness of the foam, and the insulating or conductive nature of the tooling.
Hardeners
DM02
Slow hardener, for high thicknesses or high foaming volumes.
For applications where parts are subjected to high levels of stress, post-firing is recommended to obtain maximum thermomechanical properties.
Mix ratio 100:36 by weight.
Tg max = 90 °C.
DM03
Fast hardener, for low thicknesses
For applications where parts are subjected to high levels of stress, post-firing is recommended to obtain maximum thermomechanical properties.
Mix ratio 100:31 by weight.
Tg max = 92 °C.
