SR 121
Epoxy resin
SR 121
Product description:
The SR 121 system is a two-component epoxy resin specially designed for the production of prepregs.
Its low viscosity allows for manual or mechanical impregnation of fabrics, yarns, braids, and stitched assemblies.
It is also suitable for filament winding.
SR 121 offers excellent storage stability (at least 1 year before mixing) and ensures safe processing thanks to a formulation free of solvents, reactive diluents, and CMR substances.
The service temperature reaches a maximum of 90 °C, with the possibility of post-curing from 80 °C to 150 °C depending on production conditions.
KTA 31x Hardeners:
SR 121 is used with the KTA 31x hardeners, which allow reactivity to be adjusted according to production conditions. From very fast to very slow, these hardeners provide optimal flexibility to meet all prepreg applications, while ensuring consistent performance and precise control of curing cycles.
Hardeners
KTA 311
Very slow hardener.
Suitable for prepregs requiring longer storage before processing, it ensures excellent stability and optimal control of curing cycles.
Mixing ratio 100/22 by volume.
Tg max = 105 °C.
KTA 313
Slow hardener.
Recommended for applications requiring extended working time, particularly on thick fabrics or complex stitched assemblies.
Mixing ratio 100/22 by volume.
Tg max = 112 °C.
KTA 315
Fast hardener.
Suitable for standard prepreg production, offering a good balance between working time and curing speed.
Mixing ratio 100/22 by volume.
Tg max = 116 °C.
