Unidirectionals, braided tubes, ribbons and flat braids
Mainly designed to add rigidity to your parts, unidirectional reinforcements limit bending deformation.
They are available in strip form, but can also be held in place by a thermosetting filament for contact applications. A woven version solves infusion problems by ensuring permeability.
SICOMIN offers unidirectional fabrics in glass, carbon and linen in weights ranging from 130 to 2000 gr/m².
Braided tubes, ribbons and flat braids can be used for assemblies or local reinforcements. These reinforcements are mainly made from fiberglass, carbon and aramid.
UD Glass
Unidirectional glass fabrics are constructed from 0° longitudinal fiber and are suitable for contact processing, vacuum bagging and infusion.
Other weights are available in the “Multiaxials – Glass” family.

UD Carbon
Unidirectional carbon fabrics are made from 0° longitudinal fiber. Heat-set references are the answer to the problems encountered in contact or vacuum contact processing, maximizing fiber content. We also offer a specific range for infusion to optimize permeability parameters.

Sheaths, Ribbons, Braids
Woven ribbons are used for lamination in the construction or repair of wood, composite or metal parts. They can be used to carry out meticulous lamination repairs.
Braided plates 30° are ideal for re-laminating. In particular, they can be a good choice for canoe/kayak decking.
Braided tubes 45° can be used to repair or reinforce tubular parts.
